Industry rumors speculate that a Switch 2 may drop sometime later next year. The Switch 2 is expected to come with some serious hardware upgrades. The Nintendo Switch delivered a satisfactory hybrid experience, but beefy RAM with a powerful processor will be more than welcome in the Switch 2. This will undoubtedly help with high-demanding third-party games and establish Nintendo’s handheld console as a premium console. Even though hardware may not be enough for a console to perform well, upgraded hardware will surely be better.
4K display has become more or less the norm in recent years. A native 4K display with DLSS can make sure the Switch 2 delivers stunning visuals when docked. DLSS’ up-scaling features also maintain performance. The combination of DLSS and a native 4K display will be a great feature to have on the Switch 2 for a more immersive experience.
Dual-screen capabilities and VR
The dual-screen functionality of the Nintendo DS and Wii U was a game-changer in the industry. A return to this feature will be more than appreciated by the fans. Granted, the original feature did have its problems, but new technological advancements in recent years will be more than capable of sorting out the problem. The feature will also benefit devs to create inventive mechanics, better UI, and new options to chart the waters of VR.

A dedicated VR mode or accessory could allow players to immerse themselves in captivating virtual worlds, which will also absolutely enhance the gaming experience. An innovative approach to hardware and gameplay mechanics can easily result in an immersive VR solution.
