Valve has been working out on multiple titles lately to see the compatibility for its handheld PC. While there are many games that might work properly, it recently added a proper way of checking and verifying it.
Potential Steam Deck buyers have to just log into their Steam accounts. Going into the section dedicated to the device, they have to put their information and see all the compatible titles from their own library. They are mentioned under four categories.
How to check the gaming compatibility?
The first category has all the Steam Deck Verified games. These are the titles Valve has verified itself. Which means they will run flawlessly and exceptionally on the device. Users won’t need any modifications to play them and there should be no issue in running them whatsoever.
Next category is the Deck Playable games. These titles will require some kind of adjustments by the fans.
The third category is of the unsupported games, which are not yet confirmed to run on Steam Deck for now. But in the future, the respective developers of such titles can bring fixes from their side to resolve this situation. However, it will solely depend on them and if they want to do that or not.
The last category comprises all those games that are not yet tested by Valve for Steam Deck. So they will take time to be confirmed for the device in the near future.
Here’s what the fans themselves think about this newly announced verification process:
They should’ve had this out MUCH sooner!
