Nintendo Switch has some pretty amazing quirks up its sleeves but despite all this, the recently released Steam Deck seems to slowly crawl up the ladder to pull the console down. And now a reviewer for Nintendo Switch, Shawn Long aka RGT 85, turned his Steam Deck into a portable PS4.

But with his latest video, he shows how he can play several PlayStation 4 games in his Steam Deck with minimum lags that many beefy PCs can’t handle easily. Also, according to him, the latest God of War Ragnarok can soon be ported into the Deck, although just as a hunch.
Nintendo reviewer thinks Steam Deck is better than Switch
According to his recent video, Shawn Long showed off his Steam Deck that can handle games like Grand Theft Auto 5, Uncharted Legacy of Thieves collection, and Marvel’s Spiderman. This is especially impressive because of the fact that some of these games are actually made on PCs that have really high specs.
Shawn Long, regarding the performance of Steam Deck being better than Nintendo Switch, said, “You could put anything on this system but if it doesn’t run well then you know it’s kind of pointless. It kind of defeats even buying the games on the system. We’ve seen tons of bad ports on the Nintendo Switch.”

Notably, he was talking about the Nintendo Switch in a comparative way, where some of the games ported from PC or other former Nintendo consoles have not been ported correctly. But on the other hand, Shawn Long was really impressed by how the big AAA titles like GTA 5 and Spiderman played on Steam Deck as he ran those PS4 games on them.
Although there were some drawbacks in the Steam Deck, such as issues with sound and sudden frame drops from overheating of the CPU, none of them were too bad.
Why does Long think that God Of War Ragnarok can soon be ported to Steam Deck?
It was pointed out by the Nintendo reviewer that apart from the fact that it can run almost any game ported into it, the handheld device also has been running games from PlayStation 4, which in itself is a very beefy console. And since God of War Ragnarok got released on PlayStation 4 as well, it is very much possible that as it gets ported to PC, it can also be released for Steam Deck.
