The Nintendo Switch is known among its fans as a port machine. They gave it this name due to it getting ports of numerous games one or two years after their initial launch. From Doom Eternal to Skyrim, it has already received ports of numerous excellent games.
And yet again, keeping true to the nickname given to it by its huge fanbase, the console might just be getting one more port. This time, a certain caped crusader’s allies will be making their way to the Switch.

Recently, some eagle-eyed fans noticed that Singapore’s content classification board has recently rated Gotham Knights for the Nintendo Switch.
Eventually, someone noticed that the ESRB had rated Gotham Knights for the Nintendo Switch too. And then it was clear as day that Batman’s closest allies were indeed making their way to Nintendo’s hybrid console.
The official confirmation of the Nintendo Switch port of this third-person action-adventure brawler is yet to come. However, it’s not very surprising, given the fact that WB Games is already preparing to launch the Batman Arkham Trilogy for this console. This trilogy, as many might know, includes the three main titles; Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight.
Gotham Knights, on the other hand, serves as a spiritual successor to that trilogy. With Batman gone, his allies, Batgirl, Nightwing, Redhood, and Robin, have to save Gotham from a new threat called the Court of Owls.
Can Gotham Knight even run on Nintendo’s platform?
Fans are not as hyped about this game launching on the Nintendo Switch as one would expect. There are a number of reasons for this.

First, this game was canceled for last-gen consoles such as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, citing the technical limitations of those consoles. And second, even the current generation of consoles was not able to handle this game well enough to run it at a stable framerate.

One wonders: how can it even run on the Nintendo Switch? Maybe WB is aiming for a cloud release? Just like those ports of Resident Evil games and Hitman 3? This detail will be revealed once an official announcement comes.
