Nintendo Switch crosses the 20 million mark in Japan
It’s been a long journey for Nintendo and after years of hard work the company has finally sold more than 20 million units on the Switch console in Japan. It took about 222 weeks (4 years and 3 months) for Nintendo to reach this mark.
Naturally, the popularity and sales for the Switch console will continue to rise as the developers have planned a mighty future ahead. We will see the release of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond Shining Pearl on November 19 later this year. Moreover, Splatoon 3 will also release at the start of the next year. As of now, Nintendo Switch has sold 16,168,420 units while Nintendo Switch Lite has given its contribution with 3,849,858 units. Furthermore, Animal Crossing: New Year’s Forest has sold most units about 6,778,146 units in cumulative domestic sales of software for Nintendo Switch.

ACNH took the first position in UK physical charts just after celebrating its one-year anniversary a few months back.
