After a long wait, Nintendo fans are only a couple of months away from the release of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This upcoming Switch game is set to hit the shelves on May 12. But the concerns among fans are not over, especially because of how tight-lipped Nintendo is being about this game.

Tears of the Kingdom is undoubtedly the biggest release for Nintendo this year. It won’t be wrong to call it the crown jewel for the Japanese giants this year. So despite it being such a deal for Nintendo, they haven’t revealed much about the game. Although, there is only a little time left from the release, making the fans worried about its release.

Most video game companies would have filled the internet with promotions for their upcoming title. A good marketing campaign helps build the hype for the game among fans, which can hugely impact sales. With almost two months in hand, Nintendo still hasn’t done a big reveal or hosted a Direct for Tears of the Kingdom.

Meanwhile, they went all out to promote the prequel Breath of the Wild. Nintendo used their whole E3 2016 booth to promote the last Zelda title. Therefore, it begs the question of why they are holding this highly awaited sequel so close to their hearts. According to Nintendo-related YouTuber SwitchForce, the Japanese behemoths will not exhibit anything Zelda-related at PAX East, a gaming convention similar to E3.

Now it’s also not like they weren’t cold like this for other titles, as they did something similar with Paper Mario: The Origami King. However, that’s where the difference is. The upcoming Zelda is their crown jewel and not a small spin-off game like Paper Mario. Moreover, the game has a $7o price tag, so it’s definitely not a small game for Nintendo.

But it’s also not like they haven’t shown anything from the game. Nintendo released a few teasers since 2019, but nothing more. Fans are dissatisfied with the minor teasers, as they didn’t reveal more about the game. After all, fans want to hear official announcements about Tears of the Kingdom and not rely on rumors. But the rumors are also worrying some fans that the game’s release might get delayed.
