Nintendo Switch Online subscribers have a chance to enjoy one of the best MLB games on their hand-held consoles for the first time. Further, the more significant news for Switch fans is that the game would be available for free.

The Japanese video game giants, Nintendo, revealed that their Switch Online subscribers would enjoy the MLB ‘The Show 22’ for free. However, it’s a limited-time option, meaning the game would be free-to-play from July 15 at 10 AM PT to July 21 at 11:59 PM PT.

Further, the players would have full access to every game feature. Nintendo would save the player’s game data of the Show 22 from this free week trial forever. So, players can access this free week trial data even after buying the game later.

After the trial, players who love the game can buy it from the Nintendo Store. The game usually costs around $60. However, the baseball video game would be available for less than 50% of the original price during the free trial.

What is MLB The Show 22 about?

Baseball is a famous sport, especially in the USA and South Asian countries like South Korea and Japan. So looking at the fanbase, San Diego Studios came up with the MLB Show series based on Major League Baseball.

Further, this video game series has always been a PlayStation exclusive. But after the release of ‘The Show 21’, it was no longer an exclusive series, as the game was released on Xbox. Moreover, this game series made its way to the Nintendo Switch for the first time with MLB ‘The Show 2022’.

‘The Show 2022’ is the 17th and the latest installment in the series that came out on April 5, 2022. Fans appreciated the new MLB game for better graphics and gameplay. Moreover, it has both single-player and multiplayer. The game’s multiplayer has a co-op mode, allowing players to team up with friends.

Aside from the praises, the game also faced criticism, especially for the repetitive commentary. Moreover, the other big issue that the game faced was the bugs. Even the Nintendo version encountered some bugs, especially frame rate shutters. But despite these issues, fans loved the game.
