Animal Crossing: New Horizons have always incorporated real-life holidays and celebrations into the game. Nintendo hosted many festive events in the game, and soon it will host another event to celebrate an East Asia festivity called Moon Viewing Day.

New Horizons is the latest installment and the most successful in the Animal Crossing series. The game allows players to enjoy the elite social simulation experience. This Nintendo game has allowed many players to showcase their creativity. Further, the multiplayer mode has become a great medium for hosting visual events.

Celebrate Moon-Viewing Day with Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Who doesn’t love to watch the moon on a beautiful night? Many might not know that there is a festival in Japan called Tsukimi or Otsukimi, which means, well, moon-viewing. As the holiday’s name suggests, this celebration is related to the moon, as people honor the autumn moon.

This Moon-Viewing Day will be celebrated on September 10 this year. So, Nintendo would also host the Moon-Viewing Day event in-game on the same date. Fans can watch the moon every night in the game. But on this day, fans would have the best view, as the developers even claim it.

However, watching the moon at night isn’t the only thing players can do on this day. Players would have access to limited-time exclusive items available at the Nook Shopping. Further, most of the items available in the store would be moon themed.

Fans can buy Japanese treats like Dango, Moon cakes, and Songpyeon. These three items would cost players around 1100 Bells. Further, the most expensive item available during this event is the Moon Rug, costing 2000 Bells. It would be a nice opportunity for fans to grab these items or whave to wait a year for next September.

What would be the changes to look forward to in Autumn?

It’s the month of September, meaning Autumn is here in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The most visible change this month would be the Island’s flora changing color. The greenery on the island would turn orange. In August, the entire Island would be covered in orange and would be the perfect set-up for celebrating Halloween.
