Nintendo introduced brand new features with the 2.0 update in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Furthermore, several veterans who already quit New Horizons login back to get their hands on 2.0 items. Unfortunately, after the launch of the 2.0 update, developers announced they will no longer release major updates for ACNH. Exciting March changes to look forward to in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
New Seasonal Materials
With March, users will experience brand new seasons in New Horizons. Northern Hemisphere players will start enjoying the spring season; whereas, southern players will experience the arrival of the autumn season on their island. Interestingly, Nintendo will also introduce new seasonal materials for both hemisphere players.
Northern users will notice Young Spring Bamboo on their island, which can be used to craft various materials. For southern hemisphere players, developers will introduce Acorns and Pinecone materials.
Exclusive items arriving in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Nintendo always introduces new seasonal events every month. Therefore, we will see a variety of exclusive items limited to March seasonal events. Players experience four seasonal events next month, which are Hinamatsuri, Pi Day, Shamrock Day, and April’s Fool day.
All four events will offer different limited items which you can purchase from the Nook Stop. Surprisingly, all these items are not time-locked after the release of the 2.0 update.
Weather phenomena
March will also bring a variety of changes to the weather phenomena in New Horizons. The most notable change will be light and heavy snow showers getting replaced by light and heavy rainfall. Interestingly, this also increases the chances of experiencing thunderstorms for northern hemisphere users on their islands.

Not to mention, they won’t be able to encounter Super heavy fog phenomena from March till September. Moreover, they might also experience single and double rainbows from the next month. On the other hand, southern users will still experience heavy fog on their island.
