It is pretty evident that Nintendo is currently planning the reveal and launch of its next console for next year. It will not come as a surprise if they go on to announce more expansion passes for consoles like Gamecube and even Wii. And it only makes sense because there is a market for it. Nintendo is already working on it

Nintendo has even started offering users extra bonuses in those classic fan-favorite games that come with Switch online service. Recently Nintendo announced Goldeneye 007 switch online version. It would be a remastered version of the celebrated classic and would be accompanied by an online multiplayer mode.

So if Nintendo keeps these kinds of additions coming, it would not be a surprise if people stay interested in Nintendo Online. Not to forget, a big share of Nintendo online users also comes in the form of people who play multiplayer games such as Splatoon 3 and Mario Kart 8.
