As reported by Comicbook, the developer and publisher made a confirmation about working on a brand new console. However, it was made to counter hacking that apparently targeted its system.
It’s not yet known when this console was made exactly and what new features it consisted of. Talking about its reveal, then the details came out from a trial involving Nintendo and Team Xecuter hacker Gary Bowser. Well, this trial apparently ended with a prison sentence of 40 months for the hacker.
Being a legal matter, it was obvious to see Nintendo revealing in-depth details about it. And that’s how the information on the console made its appearance out in the public.

Basically, the Mario maker had to release the newer console to stop hacking in its system. This modification comprised endless hours of engineering and adjustments.
More than this, there was no other crucial information available on the reported console, according to Comicbook.
