A Reddit user, Simplyyjulie, recently shared a picture of her Animal Crossing: New Horizons island. However, she had the infamous Star Fragment Trees on her island. Further, she even asked other players if they remembered these unique trees.
The social-simulation game offers various kinds of trees. But the Star Fragment tree was one of the most unique and beautiful trees in the game’s history. However, this unique tree isn’t natural to the game. Nintendo never developed a Star Fragment tree, although they have Star Fragments in the game.
Players can get Star Fragments on the beach after they wished on a shooting star on the previous night. So, now the question is, where does this Star Fragment tree come from? It was just a bug that modified the Money Tree’s code. As a result, instead of bags of Nooks, there were Star Fragments on the tree.
Nintendo fans react to the Star Fragment Tree
Undoubtedly, this unique tree caught everyone’s attention. Some fans shared their disappointment in losing these trees. Nintendo later removed this bug from the game and replaced the Star Fragment Tree with the Money Tree. Players can still get this unique tree using a moded Animal Crossing game. So, now players who want these trees would have to jailbreak their Switch consoles.
