But when it comes to Kirby, the pink hero has a special place in the players’ hearts who have grown up exploring the series. Well, Kirby just completed its 30th anniversary since the very first title came out in 1992.

From Game Boy to the modern-day Switch console, Kirby has gone through major changes while entertaining millions of Nintendo lovers.

Hardcore Kirby fans share their best memories as the Nintendo saga turns 30!

For those who aren’t familiar with the iconic franchise since the beginning, the first entry was Kirby’s Dreamland. Developed by HAL Laboratory, it was originally launched on April 27th, 1992 for the Game Boy.

Masahiro Sakurai was the designer of Kirby, who’s also known for creating another great series in Super Smash Bros.

Following the initial launch and huge success throughout its run, Dreamland was re-released in 2011 for Nintendo 3DS through the Virtual Console.

After the debut of Kirby, Nintendo went onto reveal multiple installments in the franchise. As of now, there are over 30 games in the series, with all of them selling a total of around 38 million units worldwide. This figure also makes it Nintendo’s one of the highest-selling video game franchises.

Following the recent success of Forgotten Land, the saga has once again managed to win the hearts of its die-hard fans. Especially those, who already adore all the past entries.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Kirby, Nintendo of Europe asked all the Kirby players, on social media, to share their favorite memories from their days of enjoying its titles.

As soon as the tweet went live, many users began expressing their affection for the series. On the other hand, they also thanked the adorable pink character for swaying them for the past 30 years.
