Pokemon Scarlet & Violet was the most ambitious project to date for Game Freak and Nintendo. There was a lot riding on these two new entries into the beloved Nintendo franchise. Although it struggled at first due to performance issues, it eventually gained a lot of success.

The Pokemon games have entertained Nintendo fans for over two decades. The first two games in the series, Pokemon Red and Green, came out on February 27, 1996, for the iconic Game Boy console. This date has become special among the fans, who started celebrating it as ‘Pokemon Day’.

On Pokemon Day, all fans assemble and celebrate this day by doing things related to the franchise. So there are rumors that Nintendo is trying to make this day special for the fans by revealing new Pocket Monster titles. Further, some leaks have suggested that this possible new game could be part of the spin-off series, Mystery Dungeon.

Mystery Dungeon could potentially be revealed on Pokemon Day

There is a lot of speculation suggesting Nintendo might release a new DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. But now another rumor has emerged that the Japanese giants might lift the cover of a new Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. These rumors started when the Twitter user ‘Necro’ Felipe shared some lines of code, which were found in the new ‘Pokemon Together’ section.

These codes mentioned the video game developer named Spike Chunsoft, and this is where the rumors first stem from. After all, they were the ones who created all the Mystery Dungeon games. However, fans shouldn’t blindly believe these rumors, until the Japanese giant Nintendo makes an official statement.

The first Mystery Dungeon game was released in 2005 and quickly became a hit. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX, the most recent installment to this spin-off series, was released in 2020 for the Nintendo Switch. So, it might be the best time for a new addition to the series. However, it will be intriguing to see if it would be a Mystery Dungeon remake or a new one.
