Nintendo brings another piece of news with their latest Animal Crossing Direct presentation. They announced an expansion to their Switch Online Service by adding more content that includes N64 and Sega Genesis games to the console. However, this does not come in with the regular subscription and has an extra cost attached to it. While the regular subscription to Switch Online is $19.99/year, the added expansion adds another $50 to the existing subscription price. This has made fans furious, and they have started taking to Twitter to express their resentment.

This is a huge hike when compared to the regular Switch Online subscription, which comprised more or less the same benefits as the Expansion pack. The regular subscription was available for $19.99/year for individual subscriptions and $34.99/ year for family subscriptions. The regular subscriptions contained access to online multiplayer, classic NES and SNES games, cloud saves, and several other perks.

The expansion pack will include some classic titles from the N64 era such as Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Nintendo also plans to include Pokemon Snap, Banjo Kazooie, Paper Mario, and The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask.

Nintendo’s subscription announcement makes fans furious

Fans have started taking to Twitter in order to express their resentment regarding this announcement by Nintendo. Many feel this pricing is outrageous for them and have expressed their resentments for the same. Many even feel that bullying Nintendo into changing their minds might work as well.
