The Japanese gaming giant Nintendo launched its iconic home gaming console, Nintendo Switch, way back in the year 2017. It’s been over four years and even to this date, this iconic console hasn’t lost its charm. Nintendo Switch is the only home console to make the fastest sales of a whopping 100 million units. But, there’s still something that all Nintendo fans seek more from this gaming console. And that’s some improvements and upgrade in terms of its hardware. Some fans expect that there is something on which devs should work in the console. But according to recent reports, the fans are unlikely to witness any hardware improvements in the Switch console.
It’s because the Nintendo president has mentioned that the Switch console is still in its mid-life cycle and will continue to grow further. President Shuntaro Furukawa stated that Switch still holds a strong momentum in the market. And unlike Nintendo’s past consoles, Switch will not witness the weakening of its momentum in its sixth year. Moreover, with the current global semiconductors and chip shortage, the Japanese gaming giant will continue with its current Switch model. This also means that the next Nintendo console could take many years to come out.
It’s only been a few hours, the President’s announcement has already become the headline of the day.

According to the popular official website of nintendolife, here’s what Shuntaro Furukawa said about it,
“Switch is just in the middle of its lifecycle and the momentum going into this year is good. The Switch is ready to break a pattern of our past consoles that saw momentum weakening in their sixth year on the market and grow further.”
No doubt it’s big news and if Switch successfully manages to break this pattern. Then, for sure, it’s going to be a monumental achievement by this iconic gaming console.
