2021 has been one of the best years for Nintendo Switch in terms of popularity as well as sales growth. From surprise new releases to announcing some of the widely hyped-up games, Nintendo truly impressed their players. But what next? Recently, Shuntaro Furukawa (Nintendo’s president) discussed the company’s future plans and approach to developing a new hardware console after the widely successful Nintendo Switch.
In a recent interview with a Japanese news publication, The Nikkei, Nintendo’s president talked about a wide range of different things regarding Nintendo and its future.

When asked about Nintendo’s future plans and strategies, Shuntaro Furukawa replied, “In order to create a single piece of hardware, we have to do a lot of preparation several years in advance, so we are working without stopping. In the end, the deciding factor in whether or not to commercialize a product is whether it can create a new experience.”

Additionally, Furukawa also highlighted the point that the most important thing for the company right now is to provide new and interesting games to its audience. The main point of Nintendo is to make every game as intuitive as possible so that everyone can enjoy the gaming experience.

Other than this, according to Furukawa Nintendo is working hard to lower the barriers so that a majority of players can have a great gaming experience, even with their family members and friends for that matter.
Interestingly, Furukawa also revealed that the developers are working closely to identify alternative forms of entertainment for players. The switch was launched way back in March 2017 and continues to lift Nintendo’s sales to new heights and is showing no sign of slowing down anytime soon.
