The new year is just around the corner and gamers are curious about upcoming surprises awaiting them in 2022. Well, it seems like their wishes are slowly getting fulfilled, thanks to the recently leaked reports. One such latest report reveals that Sony will offer a fresh set of games in January 2022, for PlayStation Now. And luckily, we have confirmation regarding at least two of the games that will make their way to the subscription-based service.
Although Xbox Game Pass has many great options in terms of supported titles, PlayStation is not far behind. Just a few months back, its services added popular games like The Last of Us 2 to the service. Then they offered another classic in Mafia Definitive Edition for November, and Grand Theft Auto III in December.
The January 2022 line-up of free games for PlayStation Now includes two of the aforementioned games that will certainly come to the service, and one of them is Mortal Kombat 11.

Apart from Mortal Kombat 11, another confirmed title for January 2022 is Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age. They both will join many other games under the offer from Sony on the PlayStation Now service. Speaking of Final Fantasy XII, it will be the fifth title from its series, since September, to arrive on Sony’s subscription-based platform.
Coming back to Mortal Kombat 11, it’s the latest installment in the iconic blood-soaked franchise. The title arrived in 2019 and received mostly positive reviews. Moreover, it has very good Metacritic scores for its multiple versions on various platforms.

Moving further, we may also witness more games on PlayStation’s service such as Persona 5 Strikers, Deep Rock Galactic, and Dirt 5. All the three titles are great when it comes to offering an exciting gaming experience.
Elsewhere in the world of gaming, Epic Games is also having its massive giveaway festival. So far, the digital storefront has offered classics such as Remnant: From the Ashes and Control for absolutely free. Epic Games’ fest will run till the end of this year, ending on December 30, 2021.
