New Leak Reveals the Highly Anticipated LEGO X Fortnite Event May Be Just Around the Corner

In the world of online FPS, Fortnite is one of the biggest and most influential titles. It has solidified its footing in pop culture through its unique art style and frequent collaborations with famous pop icons from games and movies. Now, some reports claim that beloved toy manufacturer, LEGO may add its name in the list of its collaborations.

Last year Epic Games and The LEGO Group joined forces in a pledge to revolutionize the metaverse with innovative digital experiences. The announcement, made in April 2022, had left fans eagerly awaiting further details. Further information about this collaboration has been scarce until recently. But now an intriguing leak has emerged which sheds light on the exciting developments taking place within this extraordinary partnership.

Upcoming LEGO X Fortnite Collaboration

Recently a trustworthy Fortnite insider, Hypex shared on Twitter “Epic Games is in the process of moving some staff over to one of their 5 big projects.” One of these 5 projects is the highly anticipated LEGO collaboration. According to the leaker, they sourced this information through an email sent by a “senior leadership”. 

Epic Games had previously revealed that they have embarked on a long-term collaboration with The LEGO Group. Their aim is to shape a vibrant future for the metaverse, focusing particularly on creating a safe and enjoyable environment for children and families. Their joint effort will lead to the development of an immersive, creatively stimulating, and captivating digital experience designed for kids of all ages to delight in collectively.

However, it is still unclear how this collaboration will take shape. Some leaks have suggested that they could introduce in-game skins or pieces of equipment. This could be a little challenging because of the physical restrictions of the LEGO characters. Another speculation is that LEGO may introduce brand-new products inspired by Fortnite.

The leak also confirmed that the staff move doesn’t mean that Epic is planning a big in-game change. According to the sources, this step will increase the priority on projects that were already in “focus”. Reportedly, other than the LEGO collaboration, Epic is also working on “Fortnite Chapter 5, UEFN & a Harmonix Festival” and “Rocket League Racing”.
