The developer team behind Days Gone has become the topic of conversation today. An alleged leak has surfaced hinting towards the studio working on a new project. This rumor started when concept artist Hung Nguy’s ArtStation page featured an “Unannounced Project Game – Bend Studio” with a date of 2025.

As of now, Bend Studios has not made any announcements with plans for a game to be released in 2025. Ever since the leak, there has been a lot of speculation as to which title the studio could be working on. While many predict it could be the sequel to Days Gone, the way things look, it seems highly unlikely.

Bend Studio confirmed that it was working on a new IP back in 2022. It was said that the IP builds upon the open-world systems introduced in Days Gone. After learning about the project from Hung’s ArtStation page, many fans started speculating what the studio might be working on.

Sony Bend released Days Gone over two years ago, leaving fans wanting more. According to reports, there have been internal issues, power struggles, and canceled projects which led the studio to where it is now. Days Gone took seven years to develop. The game had a troubled development history with scrapped projects after its release. Considering the development time for Days Gone, fans expect the sequel to take the same amount of time to release. This indicates that the studio might just finish the game in 2028.

Along with Days Gone, many rumors about the studio working on a new Uncharted game had flooded the fans. Although this rumor generated some buzz around it, it soon died down. Another game that fans heard about was a new Syphon Filter. And just like Unchartered, this rumor faded to silence too. It is still unknown as to what project was hinted at on the ArtStation page. While most of the hype is around getting a Days Gone sequel, Bend studio has not left the fans having since the launch of its debut game.

Plans of other first-party Sony studios

Currently, almost all of Sony’s First party studios are working on one title or the other. Some studios are taking on multiple projects which gives fans hope about the future of the PlayStation. Guerrilla Games is one such studio that was established in 2000. The studio responsible for the Killzone franchise is working on an online co-op game as well as a mobile spin-off for the Horizon series.
