In the world of gaming, Grand Theft Auto/GTA has a massive reputation. The fan base always urges Rockstar for new content and games in the series. So when the studio hinted that a new game is in development, the fanbase erupted with hype and excitement. Leaks, speculation, and rumors spread around the internet. 

Even though Rockstar has tried many times to condemn these leaks, fans couldn’t stop themselves from getting out every bit of information they can. From early game footage to source codes, many insider things have managed to surface on the world wide web. And this time, a fan even managed to speculate about the announcement date of the game.

Is GTA 6 announcement coming in October?

On October 14, 2022, online game journalist and founder of Rockstar’s community page @RStarCentral, Gaming Detective aka @that1detectiv3 posted a tweet. In this tweet, he speculated about the upcoming release date of the game. The tweet quickly garnered a lot of traction as fans and followers quickly jumped into the conversation to express their thoughts on the subject.

In the tweet, Game Detective said, “GTA 6 will be announced between October 21 and October 28.” speculating that this month there could be a chance of Rockstar announcing their new GTA game. This tweet was completely based on their personal overview and speculations. 

But when it comes to the actual release of the game, the fans may have to wait a little longer as there is no official release date yet. But as reported, if we take a look at the Parent company of Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, it seems that the launch or the official release date of the game can be anywhere between April 2023 and March 2024.

What are the Rumors so far?

According to the rumors and leaks, it is expected that there could be a new female playable character. The sharp fans of the community almost managed to find out even the official VA of this character. According to them, one actor named Natonia Monet had on her CV a performance as “Tamara” under the project “Fireball”. 

One of the users on the GTA forum pointed out that “Fireball” is the name of a Pitbull song, and he is from Miami – which is telling as the inspiration for the original GTA Vice City was the drug-infested beaches of the 1980s in Miami Vice. But it turns out it may not be the main character as she is named “Lucy” in the footage.
