FromSoftware’s Elden Ring was among the biggest successes of 2022. The game eventually became the game to earn the most Game of the Year titles, effectively leaving behind Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part 2. Previously a developer for a very limited crowd, FromSoftware has now become one of the most sought-after developers in the industry.
That is why pretty FromSoftware is in the spotlight right now. Every fan of Elden Ring waiting for the next big game from this Japanese developer would be glad to know they are working on yet another title. A game that is somewhat different from anything they have developed before.

Elden Ring was a very big game indeed; director Hidetaka Miyazaki even called it the next step for Dark Souls games. Most longtime fans played it as an open-world Dark Souls title. While a bunch of newcomers saw it as an entry point into the world of FromSoftware.
Their next game, Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, will be launching very soon. Fans are very hyped for this title too, but it is not being directed by Miyazaki himself. This made fans wonder, What exactly is he working on?

It turns out his new project is something called Spellbound. A game in which players use spells as primary weapons. The leaker has suggested that this game is set in a city inspired by Victorian London. Moreover, the game would feature a massive legacy dungeon that would be under the main setting of the game. Which is in many ways similar to Bloodborne and Elden Ring.

It is also being said that Spellbound would not have a character creator, and players would have to play with an original character. The best part is that with this game, FromSoftware is taking fashion souls to a new level by allowing players to customize the colors and patterns of their fabrics.

Spellbound might not even be the game’s final name. The leaker suggested that the developer is using it as a placeholder and might end up changing it to something else before the reveal and such. This reveal, too, would not come anytime soon, given the fact that FromSoftware still has a huge DLC planned for Elden Ring, which we are sure would launch before Spellbound.
