The Game of the Year for 2022 certainly hasn’t missed the fan spotlight since the major DLC tease. According to the viral rumor, the Elden Ring DLC would be unveiled at the Game Awards, followed by a launch in early February 2024. The launch date predicted by the source is February 5. Although there’s no concrete evidence to support the theory, there are a lot of reasons that have the fans convinced of the credibility of the claim.

Earlier when Arnaud Muller, the Europe CEO for Bandai Namco had claimed the DLC to be coming “soon”, fans had begun speculating a release date. The most common deductions also aligned with the latest rumors. Elden Ring was released in the month of February 2022. Thus, the much-anticipated DLC marking its arrival on the second-year anniversary of the source launch seems like a plausible theory.

A release around the beginning of February would also be consistent with information provided in Kadokawa’s financial report, which stated that the Elden Ring DLC would be released in the medium term, referring to the fiscal year 2024. For context, Kadokawa Corporation owns FromSoftware after Armored Core 6.

Last but not least, Geoff Keighley, the proprietor of The Game Awards, paid a visit to FromSoftware a few weeks ago, which raised strong suspicions that something was in the works.
