Super Mario Bros. movie has received positive reviews from fans making it one of the best movies in the history of video game adaptations. Along with its detailed cinematography, this movie has also received praise for the characters who gave voice to the iconic characters of our childhood favorite Super Mario game.

Receiving appreciation from talents like Guillermo Del Toro, the movie has proven to be one of the biggest blockbusters in the animation film industry. It has generated a  box office revenue of almost $1.339 billion globally. It has given hope to many video game lovers that will be able to finally watch their favorite video game characters coming live on screen.

The historical success of this animated film has surpassed the expectations of both the developers of the original video game. Shigeru Miyamoto, creator of Mario from Nintendo thanked the fans immensely for showering their support on the Super Mario Bros. movie –”The Super Mario Bros. Movie is the first film with which Nintendo was directly involved in production. We feel very fortunate that so many people around the world have watched this movie. Thank you all so much.”

Chris Meledandri’s from Illumination also thanked the fans- “The response to The Super Mario Bros. Movie has been beyond my wildest imagination. In my entire career, I’ve never witnessed such passionate, engaged, and excited fans.”

Recently the official Twitter account of Nintendo of America posted a video that contained these two Mario creators sharing their joy with the fans by thanking their appreciation for the movie. 

Super Mario Bros. movie has triggered the nostalgia of many people. Along with gamers, it has been a childhood favorite for many unprofessional players too. With the release of the film, Mario as a character has become globally known to people, which excites its fans more. This movie is available as a steel book, DVD, and 4K Blu-ray with many streaming platforms offering digital versions for audiences.
