No one would have ever imagined Fortnite without the key feature of building things. These key game mechanics separated the wheat from the chaffs and truly served as the most important element of the game. It gave the title a special yet unique identity that simply cannot be copied by other Battle Royale titles.
Oddly enough, in the second season of chapter 3, Epic Games has decided to roll back the feature for the season, while introducing a range of new things.

This ‘No’ Building’ approach has created a lot of ruckus on the internet, as the community isn’t responding well to this change. It took countless hours for players to learn, and master the craft of creating effective builds along with editing and whatnot.

However, for the first time in the history of the title, it is going to go on without this feature, which makes all that grind futile.
Twitter erupts as Fortnite officially bids adieu to builds and building feature
Popular streamers, fans, and professional players all took to Twitter to share their thoughts. The community was not able to digest the fact that the feature was really gone, and it might not return to the game for the entire duration of Season 2.
