In the Netflix series ‘Growing Up Geeked’ on its YouTube channel, actors remember their favorite childhood obsessions. Recently in the series, Godoy recalled his bond with video games.

The Mexican actor explained that the first thing that he really geeked out about when he was growing up was video games. He shared his love for Mario Bros. and Zelda. He revealed Link and Mario, the two most beloved Nintendo characters of the Mario universe, as his childhood heroes. According to him, Mario Galaxy is one of the best pieces of art that was ever created.

He also recalled having many amazing memories of playing Mario Galaxy, which was one of the first games that he really got obsessed with. In this game, he found a way to explore different worlds, and he got to use his imagination a lot. He also liked the storytelling of that iconic Mario game, which made Godoy feel alive.

Godoy also mentions the influence of video games on him. Video games and acting, to a certain extent, are similar things because, in both, you have to put yourself in someone else’s shoes.

As he doesn’t have a Nintendo Gamecube, he has missed out on some of the iconic Nintendo titles like Zelda: The Wind Waker, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Mario Sunshine, and Luigi’s Mansion. So to relish these classic titles, he wants to own a Gamecube now.
