The most recent announcement regarding the game, MultiVersus, happened yesterday, with three new popular characters gearing up to join its character roster. In fact, one of them is an iconic NBA player, LeBron James, who has many fans swooning over his arsenal of skills.

The idea of a fighting game comprising iconic playable characters from different universes sounds extremely intriguing. Well, Warner Bros. and Player First Games have brought to fans exactly that! MultiVersus, an upcoming fighting game consisting of a lot of peculiar crossovers, features a large character roster. While WB and Player First announced 16 characters earlier, they also dropped the announcement for 2 more characters.

Want to collide against Wonderwoman as Bugs Bunny? Although the said set of contenders sounds odd, MultiVersus will make it happen. Based on the basic concept of Super Smash Bros., MultiVersus will feature iconic characters of Warner Bros. fame that players can control in multiplayer battles against others. Moreover, WB and Player First pan to add more characters to the roster with days!

LeBron James, Rick, and Morty walk into MultiVersus

The NBA legend, alongside the cartoon stars, will be available in MultiVersus as playable characters. So, players will be able to fight as King James, Rick, or Morty against any other of the 16 available characters.

LeBron James will drop in MultiVersus on July 26, that is, the day the game enters Open Beta.

On the other hand, Ricky and Morty will be available when Season 1 hits MultiVersus.

Apart from LeBron James, the 16 characters, available for fans at the Open Beta launch, are:

  3. Velma
  4. Arya Stark
  5. Batman
  6. Bugs Bunny
  7. Finn The Human
  8. Garnet
  9. Harley Quinn
  10. Jake The Dog
  11. Reindog
  12. Shaggy
  13. Steven Universe
  14. SuperMan
  15. Tom and Jerry
  16. Wonder Woman

MultiVersus will be a free-to-play game and will support cross-play, which means players on different platforms will be able to fight each other or even team up! Alongside receiving new characters, the game will also feature new content every season.

Unfortunately, LeBron James in MultiVersus will not be voiced by the legend himself. Instead, the popular voice actor, John Eric Bentley, will be the voice behind the basketball icon in MultiVersus. Well, fans definitely cannot wait to play as Lakers’ NBA pride in MultiVersus.

Soon after LeBron James, fans will also receive the first season with Ricky and Morty entering the arena. Well, a King James versus Ricky or Morty is sure going to be exhilarating!
