NBA 2K22 is rumored to release sometime in September. Similar to last year, 2K unveiled that it developed two separate versions of the game. One with the latest performance boosts, features, and game modes that will run on next-generational consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, while the other will be better suited for last-gen performance.

As with every year, 2K has sought to improve on its existing features while reinventing other aspects of the game. They decided to reveal some of these features in the NBA 2K22 Courtside Report. Major highlights include changes in attacking play such as new dribbling moves and skill-based maneuvers.

List of changes coming to NBA 2K22

In addition to this, 2K22 offers “A completely revamped shot contest and blocking system highlight an arsenal of new defensive tools at your disposal. Playing suffocating defense on the perimeter and in the paint has never felt more rewarding, giving elite defenders the ability to truly change the outcome of the game.”

2K is also introducing seasons to beloved NBA game modes such as MyTEAM, MyCAREER, and The W. A new and improved version of MyDraft will return with this latest installment. Lastly, there has been a major overhaul to the city and neighborhood of NBA 2K.

Developers recently confirmed that NBA stars like Luka Doncic, Candace Parker, Dirk Nowitzki, Kevin Durant, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar would be the faces of the various versions of 2K22. On Tuesday morning 2K took to Twitter to give fans a glimpse of how these cover stars will appear in the game.

As usual, the graphics from gaming’s premier basketball game are nothing short of flawless. The player models all resemble their real-life counterparts accurately.
