Naughty Dog has no plans for an Uncharted or The Last of Us sequel!
Neil Druckmann is said to be the main creative mind behind the original The Last of Us title. The game is about a relationship between two normal people in a very stereotypical world full of “infected”. What made this story full of these numerous typical things stand out was the relationship. The interactions between those characters, and how they helped each other grow.
This story was praised by almost everyone for its humane approach to this subject matter. And its focus on a character-driven story rather than action or horror.
The game’s sequel gave players a look at the consequences of everything. It told players that nothing they do goes unpunished, and no matter why they take a life, it has consequences.

And now the fans are asking for yet another sequel, but it appears the developers are not ready to work on it yet. Neil Druckmann, one of the co-creators of the franchise, recently told BuzzFeed that they would only start working on a sequel if they have another compelling story to tell.
He specifically said, “Our process is the same thing we did when we did Part 2, which is if we can come up with a compelling story that has this universal message and the statement about love — just like the first and second games did — then we will tell that story.”
