Will it be Capcom x Sony? Or a remake announcement for Resident Evil 4?
While no one was actually prepared for this, Capcom, out of nowhere, shared a countdown in one of its recent tweets. Speaking of the tweet itself, when you go to the link, there’s nothing specific except a clock showing the time remaining which is currently 6 days and 17 hours.

Now, what this could mean? Is Capcom also preparing for an acquisition or is it about a gameplay reveal for its next big project?
Well, it could be anything, when imagining the outcomes. But when it comes to fan theories, they have different takes on this Capcom countdown.
As soon as the developer and publisher posted the tweet, many of the users began to decrypt the hidden meaning of the countdown clock and its appearance.

Looking at the font of the time with the running clock, some of the fans came to the conclusion that Capcom might reveal a Resident Evil 4 remake. Because “the countdown clock is the same font they used in the ps2 release manual,” wrote one user.
😟 REmake 4?

Could actually be a clue, don't the Clock Tower & Onimusha franchises both feature time travel? Probably not them, as I think it's probably the Resi Evil 4 Remake.

On the other hand, several fans speculated that it may be related to an acquisition announcement, indeed, of Capcom by Sony. Well, not many people agreed upon this. However, some were quite certain and anxious at the same time, as they don’t want the Resident Evil and Monster Hunter company to join Sony.

Sony Acquisition?

I don't want Sony to acquire Capcom. I want Capcom to acquire Konami.

Then there were some who thought that the sci-fi-looking style of the font might be, somehow, related to the upcoming title Pragmata.
Judging by the font problem pragmata gameplay. Either that or something else Sci fi related. Could also be a military themed RE 8 dlc
