Mysteries in Hogwarts Legacy Deepen as Basilisk Is Found in the Slytherin Common Room

Avalanche Software’s latest Magnum opus based on the fantastical Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Hogwarts Legacy, is already garnering high praises from both fans and critics. One of the biggest selling points of the game is the open-world setting of the overworld and the mystery-filled school of Hogwarts.  

While the players have a lot to uncover in the massive world of Hogwarts Legacy, one mystery that has been one of the most talked about among the community is the mystery of the Chambers of Secrets. However, it was believed that the chamber is unaccessible and the iconic basilisk from the book is not available in the games. But that is not the case anymore. 

Fan finds the Basilisk in Hogwarts Legacy 

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the second book in the overall series. In this book, there was a mention of a chamber that holds the secrets of the Dark Wizard, Voldemort, and a living Basilisk. Basilisk is a mythical creature of the wizarding world that has the appearance of a huge snake and green eyes.

The chamber was supposed to be hidden in the school of Hogwarts, the same school on which the game is based. It was expected that players will be able to find the chambers and catch a glimpse of the mythical Basilisk. However, after searching the school for hours, fans could not find any signs of the chamber or the basilisk.

But a recent clip brought hope to among the fans as a fan revealed that they got the opportunity to encounter the Basilink itself in the Slytherin Common Room. Below you can watch the clip that is going viral on the internet and raising brand new questions among the communities of fans. 

So far, it is still a mystery what triggers this encounter or if it’s some kind of a glitch. Some believe that it could be a tease about the upcoming DLCs that may focus on the chamber and the Basilisk. Others believe that it proves that the chamber actually exists in the game and they need to try a little harder to find it. Though there haven’t been any official statements backing up their speculations.
