Tekken is one of the best fighting game series of all time. This 27-year-old reigning franchise was developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. To maintain its legacy, Tekken is about to release its highly anticipated successor.

That successor is none other than Tekken 8. This is going to be the 10th overall title of this iconic series. Fans are already hyped up, and the rising anticipation has reached a whole new level as Tekken 8 has launched the official global release trailer.

Bandai Namco first announced Tekken 8 in the PlayStation State of Play Showcase in 2022. On Gamescom Opening Night Live, they revealed that this highly anticipated title is going to be released on January 26, 2024 is now available for pre-order.

Not only that, on the stage of Gamescom, Tekken creator Katsuhiro Harada and producer Michael Murray unveiled the official global release trailer of this fighting game.

We will see a brand new single-player story mode in Tekken 8. Murray states: “It covers the arcade scene. As you progress through that storyline, you’ll experience some all-new gameplay that actually has some AI-infused learning aspects to it.” Murray has also explained that this mode is “kind of the story that focuses on you, as the player.” This mode is going to be “really exciting.”

The trailer also revealed all 32 characters of the Tekken 8 roster. We will see a Battle Hub system too, named Arcade Quest. In this quest, we will be able to customize our characters with various options.

In Tekken 8, we will see the return of Jun Kazama, Jin’s mother, who we believed to be dead earlier.

There will also be a new feature called the Heat System, which will enhance the unique abilities of each fighter during a battle.
