Upon winning the awards, the team uploaded a picture with the award and posted, “This year has been exceptional and we can’t believe what we’ve managed to achieve already!” They further went on to thank Dan Mace and Joe Films for helping them out with the shooting of the video. The post further read, “The incredible work they do on these films every month and their dedication to telling our causes are truly remarkable. Their hard work, talent, and passion for telling philanthropic stories are a huge reason for why we’re being acknowledged.”
Dan Mace is a well-known filmmaker from South Africa, who signed a multi-million dollar contract with MrBeast earlier this year. With such an expert in the team, the award-winning video was bound to be a huge success.
MrBeast’s We Adopted An Orphanage video
MrBeast noticed an orphanage in South Africa. Mama Rosie, an incredible person, initiated the Baphumelele orphanage 23 years ago after a baby was abandoned on her doorstep. This orphanage constituted the only family and home these children had ever known. Despite saving more than 5,000 children over the years, the place was on the brink of closure.

Several months ago, the orphanage faced closure, being in a dire state. MrBeast and his team took action to prevent the shutdown by building 12 new homes and ensuring a continuous supply of fresh food. Additionally, the philanthropy team decided to create a new playground for the kids. The team showed the children their brand-new homes for the first time, generating excitement among them. The children loved their new house and were extremely happy to get a constant supply of food.

The Beast Philanthropy Team also had a surprise as they tracked down Yamkila, a former orphan who left 14 years ago with dreams of becoming a musician. Despite Yamkila’s struggles as a cleaner at the airport to pursue his passion for music, the team gifted him a top-of-the-range professional acoustic guitar. The team then enrolled him in one of the best music schools in South Africa for a year. This was one of the dream come true moments for Yamkila as he joined the celebration with the other kids.
