With his giving nature and knack for content creation he is now the most subscribed solo creator on YouTube. And it seems like only yesterday that he did his 100 million subscriber video. It has been, however, a year since he hit 100 million subscribers.

MrBeast hit the auspicious benchmark on July 29, 2022. And in just a year he has increased his success on YouTube by ten folds. He currently sits with 171,000,000 followers, looking to hit the 200 million mark soon. The way he celebrated hitting the 100 million benchmark will surely be one for the history books.

MrBeast gave away an entire island to his 100,000,000th subscriber

MrBeast shared a heartwarming message to the fans on July 29 after crossing 100 million subscribers. He said, “Also I just want to say that no matter how big I get I’ll never own a mansion, yacht, Lamborghini, etc. All I want is to make the best videos possible and help as many people as I can while doing it.” 

The YouTuber backed his claims quite soon when he uploaded a video generously gifting his subscribers a private island. At the end of the video he, along with his team revealed the 100 million subscriber play button. Apart from being a generous person, the YouTuber has also never backed away from a challenge. He has spent days buried alive or locked in solitary confinement for his videos.

Donaldson made history by surviving in Antarctica

While he has spent days doing impossible challenges, his 50 hours in Antarctica were a record on their own. He became the first entertainment YouTuber to go to Antarctica. Furthermore, he took his team and Minecraft content creator Dream to explore the snowy terrains of Antarctica.

The group made a shelter in Antarctica, ate the food specifically made for the snowy terrain, and also climbed an undiscovered peak. While the YouTuber survived the snow dessert, he notably said, “This is the most terrifying experience of my life.” His fans also take inspiration from the YouTuber who never backs down from a challenge.

He cured the blindness of 1,000 people but was criticized

MrBeast never backs down from a challenge even if it is in the face of criticism. In January 2023, he uploaded a video in which he provided sight-restoring work for 1000 people. Although the deed was done from the kindness in his heart, some critics said he was looking to gain views from blind people too. The people he helped also came forward to support him for the noble deed he did.

Despite the criticism from last time, MrBeast did not let this hinder his quest to help out the people in need. In May 2023, he once again helped 1000 deaf people hear for the first time, followed by providing artificial limbs for 1000 amputees. Furthermore, facing criticism head-on and being true to oneself was probably a quality of MrBeast that helped his best friend Kris Tyson become comfortable with her true self.

The best friend of MrBeast, Kris Tyson, recently came out as a woman, accepting her true identity. She also revealed that the YouTuber has known her secret for over seven years and never once questioned her. Donaldson offered his full support to her, which Tyson proudly remembers. She said, “The support I got from them at that moment was like that’s when I knew I had my friends back, f**k everybody else.”

The community MrBeast has built through the years also accepted Kris Tyson wholeheartedly for who she was. They always had a positive reaction to whatever personal update Kris Tyson shared, showing what a loyal community the 25-year-old has cultivated. Since the launch of his snack bar brand Feastables, it is been a hot commodity among fans. MrBeast keeps working on the brand day and night to further entice the fans. From a Willy Wonka-style video to announcing Feastables to giving away an exclusive video with every Feastables bar, Donaldson certainly is doing his best for the brand.

Recently, Feastables announced its arrival in the UK. Within days of its launch, images of shelves being barren due to high sales started getting viral on the internet. MrBeast personally had to send out a tweet assuring the international fans about increasing the supply of the snack bars. While Feastables is booming in sales, his other business venture Beast Burgers is currently seeing some gloomy days.

Beast Burger had a stellar start but is now facing closure soon

Back in 2020, MrBeast uploaded a video titled ‘I opened a restaurant that pays you to eat at it’. Along with this video Beast Burgers came in front of the public eye. The fast-food chain had an incredible start with dozens of orders flying in every hour. Donaldson also claimed to have invested 150 million dollars in Beast Burgers.

However, since then the video has been taken down, along with the Beast Burgers Twitter account going dark. Multiple critics are calling this the first failed attempt from the YouTuber. Donaldson also accepted this criticism, stating, “The problem with Beast Burger is I can’t guarantee the quality of the order. When working with other restaurants it’s impossible to control it sadly.”

Fans believe MrBeast will be repeating history at the 2023 Streamy Awards after he bagged five nominations.
