The recent activities from X to change their shape are clearly a testament that they are not willing to be enclosed in just some multi-liner platforms. And the words of the CEO, Elon Musk, himself are proof of that. This famous social media platform is also gaining recognition as a long blogging website as well with its recent achievements. After sharing this achievement, Musk got to see an interesting round question.

Famous American YouTuber MrBeast recently had an interaction with Elon Musk about how long-form content on X is getting 3 billion views a day, which is more than all the newspapers in the world! But it was MrBeast’s simple question about what constitutes a “view” that really caught everyone’s attention.

Elon Musk has recently stated that the long-form posts, which are available on X, are garnering a staggering 3 billion views per day, and this stat is rising day by day. He has also stated that these figures almost go on par with all newspaper article views on Earth. However, the focus is on MrBeast’s interaction with Musk.

The American YouTuber put up a simple question to the X Boss. He asked how much time a piece of content has to be viewed in order to count as a view. On YouTube, one has to watch something, be it a short or a proper video, for at least 4 seconds. After that, it is counted as a view. As far as views are concerned, who knows better than the most viewed individual YouTuber in the world?

How it all started

The process of this huge achievement of X started back in June 2022, before Musk acquired it for $44 billion and when it was Twitter. There was a feature called Notes in which one could create and manage their notes. Initially, this was only available to a small group of writers in the USA, Canada, the UK, and Ghana. They had initial access to the “Write” tab on Twitter. The followers of these writers were also able to go through the articles of these writers on the Notes tab of their profiles.

After Musk took over Twitter, the same Notes interface was renamed to Articles. Regarding articles, Musk said this will allow users to post very long, complex articles with mixed media.

As of now, X Blue subscribers already have the option to publish posts with 10,000 characters. This demonstrates that X, under Musk’s leadership, is looking for something different from the confines of 280-character microblogging.
