Ninja and MrBeast challenge each other on a $150K League of Legends match series
League of Legends has one of the biggest competitive scenes in the world, with the New York Times calling it one of the main attractions in the gaming industry. In 2016, online viewership and in-person attendance for the game’s esports competitions exceeded those of the NBA, World Series, and Stanley Cup. Riot Games claimed 44 and 45 peak million concurrent viewers for the 2019 and 2020 League of Legends World Championship finals, respectively.
Today on June 22, MrBeast has officially accepted Ninja’s challenge to compete in a League of Legends match. This event will take place on July 9th and the winner gets to take home a $150,000 cash grab!
The two streamers have been in an online trash-talking row with one pulling the leg of another. Just when MrBeast tweeted how Ninja ‘sucked’, Ninja snapped back at Jimmy. He retaliated by saying he could easily beat Jimmy in their upcoming match without even a close encounter.
