Most Anticipated Game in ‘The Lord of the Rings’ Franchise Delayed Yet Again

In 2019, Daedalic Entertainment announced The Lord of the Rings: Gollum for all PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch consoles. The fans of The Lord of the Rings series were very hyped, and they could not wait to get their hands on it in 2019. But, to everyone’s disappointment, the game was postponed to 2022.

The prospect of being able to explore Middle Earth as Gollum is something fans are pretty excited about. But after the gamer got delayed yet again out of 2022, they were not very happy.

And now the developers of this game have yet again come up with a piece of dire news!

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum delayed to Spring or Summer of 2023!

The first-ever trailer of Gollum showed this character prowling through the darkest corners of Middle Earth. In beautiful details, it showed fans every big moment in the history of Middle Earth from a very curious point of view.

And that’s why this game was getting much traction. It is promising players a very different look into every story they have read about Middle Earth.

The game is played as a classic stealth platformer. It follows Gollum as he searches for his “Precious”, the one Ring. The game that is being made in Unreal Engine looks as good as any current-gen game made in Unreal Engine is expected to be.

Only thing is, after almost four years of its announcement, that game still does not have a release date. And fans are getting restless. Who can blame them after all? There hasn’t been a new Lord of the Rings game since Shadow of War was launched.

The developer’s Tweet said, “In order to deliver the best possible experience, we have decided to push the release of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum by a few months.”

This simply means that if this game would release in 2023, it would not be anytime before summer. Let us hope Daedalic Entertainment releases it soon enough.
