Recently, series creator Ed Boon shared a tweet showing the hype around the game. He wrote, “Thank you San Diego KomicKon!!” while sharing the image of #MortalKombat1 trending on the internet. Along with Mortal Kombat, Boon’s tweet has also gone viral, with almost 200,000 users viewing it.

This amount of hype for the game was thanks to the grand show NetherRealm Studios put forward at San Diego Comic-Con for the fans. The studio brought the roster of voice actors from MK1 to the panel along with developers who shared behind-the-scenes stories of the game’s development. Furthermore, Boon has promised three trailers for the fans to enjoy.
