Ubisoft has made its name by making variable virtual entertainment experiences over the years. It has also been hailed as one of the most creative publisher developers out there. And this has happened through the marvelous performances of its numerous franchises such as stealth action tiles like Splinter Cell, fantasy adventure series Prince of Persia, and its sci-fi spin-off Assassin’s creed, to tactical stealth shooters like Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six.
After introducing game after game over the years, Ubisoft decided to add one more IP to its roster in 2013 and revealed it publicly as Skull and Bones in 2017. This live service-based game had been announced to launch in 2023 but Ubisoft has released a worrying statement about it.
Ubisoft would make fans wait a little longer for Skull and Bones!

In 2013 Ubisoft released Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. This brought pirates to the universe of Assassin’s Creed. And this game was met with overwhelmingly positive responses from almost everyone. Fans, critics, and almost everyone loved how this game combined the pirate culture and classic Assassin’s creed gameplay. But being a pirate remained the highlight of that experience. Players could captain their ship, go whaling, hunt, and loot other ships after defeating them in a thrilling ship combat.
It was so successful that Ubisoft instantly decided to make a live service out of it, and that idea evolved into Skull and Bones.
Fans loved this idea, an open world, go wherever you want, upgrade your ship, customize it, team up with your pals, find treasures, and just be a pirate. But this game started seeing continuous delays when finally last year it was announced that this game would release in 2023.
And yet again, it has been delayed, and this time Ubisoft has announced it via a tweet, which says that Ubisoft is still determined to offer the best In-Game experience to fans, and they would be taking this extra time to polish this game even further.
It is expected that Ubisoft would show another glimpse of this game in the coming months, maybe during the upcoming E3 event.
Constant delays are not sitting very well with Skull and Bones fans but aspirations to play the game still remain prevalent
While the game might be delayed to make it better. Some fans are sympathetic to Ubisoft over this decision, while others are not very forthcoming. Some kept reminding Ubisoft of how many times this game has been delayed.

Rather you delay it than bring out a game as broken as cyberpunk, battlefield & call of duty did 👍

This game is the Ubisoft version of GTA 6. Development began a decade ago and it’s still not out yet.
