GTA: The Trilogy- Definitive Edition has received a mixed response since its release. Some users think that the game had got a lot of things wrong. Gamers also have complained about the rain in this edition where it falls as thick, vision-disrupting white lines. When falling on water, the rain vanishes.
The rain visuals in this game are far worse than the rain visuals in the original versions, which were quite good for the time those versions came out in.
Now, modders have decided to take matters into their own hands and decided to fix the rain in the trilogy games.

Modders fix the rain visuals in GTA: Trilogy
Players are not satisfied with the visuals of rainy nights in The Definitive Edition games. They think the original versions did much more justice to the rain visuals than the remastered versions. Modders are trying to fix this issue by making the rain more transparent.
Players can download version 1.1 of this rain fix for free on GTATrilogyMod’s Patreon page. However, they would need to subscribe for early access to version 1.2.
Another modder on GTA Forums, who goes by the name iNSANE666, uploaded another set of mods for GTA 3 as well. These new mods will go live on the Nexus Mods page soon. And these mods can be downloaded as a zip file through this link.
Besides this, modders are also planning to bring back the removed songs to the Trilogy games and so far have fixed the tracklist for Vice City’s Flash FM. They are also planning on tweaking elements, such as the white outlines around pedestrians and fixing the numbers on the jerseys of the Grove Street gang members.
