Recently, a Ubiforward event was held, and they showed a bunch of new and old games. During this event, Ubisoft finally gave fans an extended look at their upcoming game, Assassin’s Creed: Mirage. The game is said to be taking inspiration from the classic games in this stealth action series.
While fans kept wondering what game this title took most ideas from, Ubisoft refused to drop too many hints. But a gameplay demo during this recent showcase cleared the air on this.
Assassin’s Creed: Mirage takes a lot of ideas from the Ezio Trilogy

Ubisoft loves using the word “iconic,” and they have been using it on and off for years. Iconic caps, iconic masks, iconic logos—one thing that is truly iconic in its library, though, is Ezio Auditore. The protagonists of Assassin’s Creed: 2, Brotherhood, and Revelations really gave fans something to remember.
All three of his games brought about the biggest changes in this series; they changed things drastically. It would not even be an overstatement to say that these games put this series on the map. From more fluent parkour to the introduction of poison darts and hand-mounted portable pistols, these games had everything.
AC 2 had the honor of introducing new parkour and combat mechanics. Brotherhood introduced the Assassin management system to the series to earn some passive money. Finally, revelations brought features such as ziplining, various types of bombs, and tower defense mechanics to it.
Mirage seems to have taken a dozen ideas from all three of these games. During the gameplay demo, he used a trap bomb and a zipline. Also, his parkour is more similar to Ezio’s than anyone else in the series.
Other than these features, the game gives players the ability to buy and upgrade equipment. It looks like Assassin’s Creed: Mirage is really going to bring back the golden age of this series.
There’s a little splinter cell in there, too!
Splinter Cell is a very different series than AC, despite being developed by the same developers and published by Ubisoft. One is a modern stealth action series, while the other is a stealth action series set in medieval times.

Hence, it was surprising to see Basim use an ability very similar to Splinter Cell Blacklist’s mark and execute. What else does it borrow from other Ubisoft franchises? Fans would have to wait for the game to launch to find out.
