Minecraft Dev’s Honored Technoblade in the Game

June 2022 ended with devastating news as the gaming community lost the Minecraft streamer and content creator, Technoblade. Even the game’s developers were sad about his loss.

The American creator had made content on YouTube since 2009. He mostly made videos about Minecraft. It is a sandbox game and also one of the most successful games. However, Technoblade’s health didn’t look good lately as he was fighting stage four cancer for over a year.

Unfortunately, Technoblade passed away on June 30th, 2022. It was heartbreaking news for everyone who knew the 23-year-old. Further, his father shared his final message in the last video on his channel titled ‘so long nerds.’ Technoblade thanked fans for supporting him over the years.

Moreover, the Minecraft YouTuber shared that even if he would have another hundred lives. He would like to be Technoblade again and again. It would be hard for fans not to miss him and his fun personality. Further, many celebrities and fans paid tribute to him and even Mojang, Minecraft’s developers.

What did Minecraft do to honor Technoblade?

Technoblade was an absolute fan favorite. So after his demise, fans asked the developers if they could do something with a crowned pig. As the Minecraft YouTuber was famous for playing as a pig wearing a royal outfit. One fan even asked Mojang if they could add a feature where naming a pig “Technoblade” in the game would get it a crown.

The game’s dev replied to these requests, “We absolutely want to honor/remember Technoblade in some way and are talking about how to best do that. I can’t speak as to any details yet, but it is something we are actively discussing.”

Further, Mojang stuck with these words, and they came up with a great idea to honor Technoblade. They added a crowned pig to the launching image for the Java Edition of the game. Fans were thrilled to see this gesture. However, some fans are still looking for something more from the devs, like a special skin.

Moreover, the Hypixel Server of the game came up with a Memorial Guide in any main lobby, where fans can leave their messages for Technoblade’s family. Later, they will print most of the messages in a book to present to the YouTuber’s family.
