As if FromSoftware titles aren’t difficult to beat already. The studio is responsible for some of the most prolific titles including Elden Ring, and the legendary Dark Souls series. The latter is so popular, that other titles are often rated against the standard “Souls-like” benchmark. And now, one modder has managed to make things even more challenging. Using a mod, this fan has imported Elden Ring’s toughest boss to Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and we’re not really sure how we can ever beat the game now.
Modder brings nightmare to flesh in Sekiro
Modding has become more common these days than ever before. Unique mods help fans to push the boundaries of their favorite titles using their creative ideas. From GTA to Starfield, all popular games have armies of modders who are looking to bring new content to the titles. Now, one modder has achieved something truly frightening: importing one boss from one FromSoftware title to another. Elden Ring has some of the best bosses ever created by the devs. Now, they look to conquer new lands with this mod.

Both Sekiro and Elden Ring have similar fighting styles and gameplay mechanics. And both are considered to be very difficult to beat. However, this modder seems he wasn’t satisfied with what Sekiro has to offer and decided to take things into his own hands. Using a mod, this gamer has recreated Malenia from Elden Ring in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Sekiro already doesn’t have the long list of arsenal you can use in Elden Ring to beat the bosses. And now, this mod looks to make things even more difficult for FromSoftware fans. Frightening, we know.

Malenia is an optional final boss in the 2022 release developed by FromSoftware. She is considered to be one of the greatest bosses in Souls-like games and with her arrival to the other title from the same devs, things only get more interesting. Honestly, Malenia doesn’t even look out of place in Sekiro and we see her dealing a whole lot of damage to the modder during their battle. In the short clip shared on X, we see the player using the Sekiro’s sword to deflect Malenia’s blows and trying increase her stagger period.
Elden Ring DLC arriving soon?
