The tech giant has not offered any explanation about this strange decision, and why it is opting to part ways with the feature all of a sudden. It is being speculated that the feature came with an alleged API cost, which seemed an unnecessary expense for the studio to incur.

Xbox will no longer offer support for users to share on Twitter
According to a report from window central, the latest update will block users from directly sharing things to Twitter from their Xbox consoles. Alternatively, gamers will have to send the clips to their mobile phones and then post them on Twitter, if they wish to continue sharing content.

These unnecessary steps surely make things a bit chaotic and add an unwanted burden on the fans. If low usage turns out to be the real reason behind this move, then it will hit a small portion of avid users a bit hard, as their favorite platform is being ripped away. The icon has been taken down from Xbox’s dashboard and every other platform.

Is it possible that the American gaming giant is merely trying to test something by allegedly removing the feature? There is no reason why the developers would make this choice, as Twitter has risen in popularity considerably. It is regarded as one of the giants of the social media industry and a big part of the ecosystem.
