With the latest purge in the Xbox 360 marketplace, Microsoft has announced 46 games in total will be getting removed from the store forever. These include some fan-favorite titles such as Dark Souls, The Witcher 2, Assassin’s Creed, and more. They published the full list of games on the official support page of Xbox 360 Marketplace.
The purge will be taking place on February 7, 2023. This will mean the mentioned games (below) won’t be available for digital download from the store. The physical copies will still be available in selected offline stores and already downloaded copies can still be played. As confirmed by Gematsu the version of these games available for Xbox One and Xbox Series consoles will remain accessible in their respective stores.

Though the newer Xbox console has a comprehensive library of classic titles. In the last update, Microsoft announced that they will not add new titles to the backward compatibility library. Other than removing the games from the 360 Marketplace, Xbox had announced that they have some interesting plans going forward in the year 2023. What plans Microsoft has for the future of Xbox is yet to be discovered.
