Xbox Game Pass is undoubtedly Microsoft’s prime focus nowadays. Everything they do nowadays is bring new games to their subscription service. And they have been succeeding too; the recent Activision Blizzard King acquisition might not bring Call of Duty to Game Pass, but Xbox owners can expect a bunch of interesting Activision titles to get dropped there. All this is just speculation, but one thing is for sure: Starfield is currently the most popular game on Game Pass.
And it has proven this by breaking a number of player records during its launch. Bethesda also sold a record number of copies individually. All in all, it is safe to say that Starfield is currently one of Xbox’s most successful titles and Bethesda’s fastest-selling title, with a peak of 10 million players.

On the other hand, Xbox Game Pass is also growing in popularity. Microsoft’s efforts are paying off in a very interesting way. Not to mention that this season’s popularity can only be credited to Starfield. It was a day-one launch on Game Pass. The game’s early access is also stated as being one of the most popular things that people buy. They have worked together to bring up Microsoft’s gaming revenue by around 9%.

Those who got Starfield on Game Pass could upgrade the game to premium and play it in advance, only paying the upgrade price of $34.99. This made the premium cost significantly lower for Game Pass holders as compared to gamers who bought the individual premium editions for $99.99.
This growth would only increase now
Now, after more than a year of trying to get the deal through, Microsoft has purchased Activision Blizzard. This would only help increase gaming revenue in the future. Fans would be able to get their hands on the massive Activision Blizzard library. Even though the likes of Call of Duty and Diablo 4 would not be on game pass, there’s much fans can hope for.
