The Microsoft and Activision deal is very close to going through, and it would be literally the end of an era when it happens. There are many supporters of this deal, and there are many opposers, with the biggest opposer being none other than Sony itself. Sony cannot accept the fact that one of the most lucrative franchises in the industry would become Microsoft’s property. There are even chances of this game being an Xbox exclusive in the future, leaving the PlayStation 5 or any newer consoles in the dust.
Going by all this, it would only be natural for Sony fans to be angry, but it appears they do not mind too much. One of Activision Blizzard’s games is breaking sales records on the PlayStation Store right now!

Diablo IV is no doubt an excellent game; fans have waited for this title way too long. Diablo 3 launched in 2012, which means this game launched almost 11 years after the previous installment. It’s only natural for fans to buy this game the way they do.
The Microsoft and Activision deal is surely something most Sony fans would not want to see happen. This deal would mean they would have to give up great games such as Call of Duty and any future Diablo games at some point in the future.
This deal, as people suggest, threatens to make these high-earning games exclusive to Xbox. And they suggest this would be bad for the industry. In such a climate, it is unsurprising to see Diablo IV at the top of the PlayStation sales chart both in the USA and the UK. These games are then followed by Final Fantasy XVI, which is itself an excellent title. Then comes Street Fighter 6, followed by Grand Theft Auto V.
