Apart from Animal Crossing and Super Mario, there are other franchises that have also created an enormous impact in the community. One of those franchises is Metroid, and it has an immense fanbase. Interestingly, a former Nintendo employee recently revealed John Cena’s love for the Metroid franchise.

Metroid Prime is a very popular series developed by Retro Studios and published by Nintendo. Furthermore, several fans are expecting the rumors about the Metroid Prime 1 remaster version coming to Switch this year to be true. However, not many Metroid fans might know that WWE Star, John Cena, is also a big fan of the franchise.

Dan Ryckert recently shared an astonishing incident, including John Cena, back in 2017. This incident provided evidence of popular actor and wrestler John Cena’s undying love for the Metroid Series.

The tweet mentioned that back in 2017, John repeatedly requested Nintendo reps for a new 2D Metroid. Therefore, when Metroid Dread was launched years later, Nintendo send him a copy of the title. To this, John’s crew sent an email back saying, “John loves it.”

In addition to that former Nintendo employee, Krysta Yang confirmed Cena’s addiction to the franchise. Yang was the former public relations manager for Nintendo of America. She was also one of the two co-hosts of Nintendo Minute, along with Kit Ellis. She said, ” Sure was! He did say how much of a Metroid fan he was. He’s a really nice guy!”
