Recently on Twitter, one user edited the footage from the In-Engine trailer and put it up against gameplay from Metal Gear Solid 3. In the tweet, players get to see the differences between the original game and the remake.

Many fans are happy to see the new look of the game. Konami has made the game look aesthetic by employing new technologies such as advanced physics and ray tracing. The original game was designed within the limitations of the PlayStation 2 technology. However, with the PS5’s power, the developers have had more freedom to create the world they wanted to showcase to gamers.

In the remake, players will get to see the difference in how the game looks. Particularly with the sepia-ish effect being fixed in the color grading. Players get to see realistic animals which will go well with the detailed environments in which players will carry out their missions. The addition of ray tracing majorly impacts the game making reflective surfaces like waterbodies look realistic.

Fans’ opinion on the graphics of the remake

In the comments section, one user was quick to point out that they noticed that the game is keeping the original animations and voice acting. They pointed out how they believed the game was majorly just a visual upgrade. To this, the original poster replied and explained that the devs would be working on taking the voice acting, objectives, level design, and more up a notch.

One curious fan asked the user who made the post as to why the devs didn’t start by working on the first game, but with Metal Gear Solid 3 instead.

Nostalgia played a strong factor in the response of this user. It seems like they preferred the original visuals of the game over the remastered ones.

The above user was not the only one who preferred the original aesthetic of the game.

Many players prefer the charm of the original game with its polygonic characters and iconic green tint. The remaster looks more modern. With this feature now removed, fans are wondering if the devs will provide players with the option to toggle it within the game. That being said, what do you think of the graphics of the remake? did Komani do justice to the original games?
