There’s no denying that Joel and Ellie have an ideal Father-Daughter relationship. Because of that, many fans still believe in Joel is the real father of Ellie’s theories. Unfortunately, there’s no mention of Joel having a daughter after the apocalypse, even in video games. However, it’s not enough to end these fans’ theories, and interestingly, Bella Ramsey was taken by these theories as well.

In an interview with Vanity, Bella came across a fan theory of Joel ending up Ellie’s real father. Although it’s just a fan theory, Bella, who portrayed Ellie’s character so beautifully in Season 1, couldn’t control her emotions about the theory probably ending up coming true.

After being stunned by the fan theory, she added, “Yeah, I guess Joel is the age to be her dad. If Joel was her actual dad, she doesn’t look like Sarah in any way. So I feel like they definitely can’t be like half-sisters. Maybe they could. Maybe Joel is her actual dad.”

Lastly, Bella talked about Joel, narrated as an ideal father within the series as well as in video games. She said, “I think Joel is inherently a good dad. I think he was like born to be a dad. He has that energy.” 

After thinking of all the possibilities of Joel ending up Ellie’s actual father, Bella Ramsey started talking about the ‘Father-Daughter’ moment shared with Pedro on the set. Bella claimed that they were more like annoying siblings on the set. She also mentioned they would take care of each other; however, Pedro sometimes may turn on his ‘Super Father’ energy.
